Sam Fazio CD Release Show
CD Release, I Wish You Love, on Blujazz Records
Chicago native, Sam Fazio, made his return to the music scene in 2009 and has been making an impact ever since. Sam’s music is hip, elegant and bold. Sam puts a new spin on the songs you love, as he interprets jazz standards and the American Songbook with class and care. Sam can be seen regularly at many venues throughout the Chicagoland area, including the Coq d'Or at the historic Drake Hotel where he holds residence every Friday night. Sam has performed sold-out shows at Davenport’s, Katerina’s and Maxim’s, and has also taken the stage at the legendary jazz clubs, Andy’s Jazz Club and Segal’s Jazz Showcase. Sam just returned from a New York City performance at Feinstein’s at the Loews Regency.
Sam’s sophomore CD, I Wish You Love, was recently released on Blujazz Records and is already receiving the attention of media and radio outlets. In this special CD release show, Sam will showcase songs from his new CD as well as new arrangements of some jazz classics.
Sam is joined by Chris White on piano, who serves as musical director and arranger for the show. The rhythm section is rounded out with two of Chicago’s best jazz performers, Joe Policastro on bass and Bob Rummage on drums. Sam will also share the stage with a host Chicago’s most expressive jazz soloists—hornmen Art Davis, Jim Massoth, and Tim Coffman, and guitar hero Andy Brown.
This show is co-sponsored by Blujazz and WDCB Radio, 90.9fm.
